PLEASE, RESPECT THE LANDOWNERS THAT MAKE THE TRAILS POSSIBLE: STAY ON THE TRAIL OR STAY HOME!!

Posted 11/17/02: A 1.4 mile section of trail will be CLOSED indefinately near the
Rochester Fire Dept. to the "Bypass T"
This is due to snowmobilers not staying on the trail.
This decision was made by members of the Sno-Snoopers.

If and when we do get enough snow, please check back here to see if the trails are open. Sometimes they are kept closed for a reason, such as allowing the groomer to get out and let the temperature drop so the trails can freeze down in hopes of the trails lasting longer for everyones enjoyment.

Another reason may be that the snow is too light and
the sled can do damage to the land.

No matter if there's enough snow to ride or not,
easements from landowners runs out yearly on
March 31st .

Remember, without landowners allowing us to use their
land there are no trails!

Thank you for your cooperation!

Snowmobile Trail Pass
Wisconsin law requires those who use Wisconsin snowmobile trails to display either Wisconsin registration or a snowmobile trail pass. Funds from this program will be designated for use as trail aids and related costs to enhance all Wisconsin snowmobile recreation.

The trail pass can be purchased online at Online Licensing Center @https://www4.wildlifelicense.com/wi/start.php, over the counter at any license sales location, or by phone at 1-877-945-4236

The $35.00 non-resident snowmobile trail use pass is valid from July 1st through June 30th.

A snowmobile trail pass is required to operate a snowmobile not currently registered in Wisconsin on a snowmobile trail.
The snowmobile must be currently registered with another jurisdiction.
The trail pass must be permanently affixed by its own adhesive to the bottom center portion of the snowmobile windshield. If there is no windshield, the sticker shall be displayed in a highly visible location on the front of the cowling of the snowmobile.

Once affixed, the sticker may not be removed or transfered to another snowmobile.
