of Fall.
See you next sledding season. Cam will start up again in December
'08.|
The last images are from April 1, 08 is when we received about
8" of wet, heavy snow.

18, 2008 AT 8:00 AM
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT WITH OUR RECENT WARM UP AND
RAIN/SLEET & SNOW THAT WE HAVE HAD THE TRAILS MAY BE ICY ESPECIALLY
IN CORNERS, EXTREME CAUTION IS URGED.

02/28/08 @ 8:45 AM: CAUTION:
There is some logging happening on Lost Lake Rd. the loggers plowed
part of Lost Lake Rd. to get their equipment in. Some parts of
the plowed road are narrow. Expect vehicular traffic in this area.

03/19/08 @ 10:22PM: The TPSC
trails are still open and we still have a good base! During the
day temps have been in the 30's and nights have been anywhere
from 0 to 16 for the lows. Pretty good good for mid March riding!
Not sure how much longer it'll last so if you can get in another
weekend of riding before it all melts, kudos to you!!! We are
checking trails and if need be, doing grooming for your enjoyment!!!
03/13/08 @ 8:33PM: We received
about 4" of new snow last night/ this morning but early afternoon
the sun came out and temps got up to mid 40's and the new snow
melted. Some of the "old" snow got mushy. We still have
a good base and it's supposed to be colder tomorrow. The TPSC
trails are currently open and are in good condition. This weekend
may be it for the season.
The TPSC Summer Picnic and
Golf Outing will be held on Saturday June 21, 2008 at Maplewood
Golf Course on Hwy 55 in Pickerel. Please check the "Events"
page on the TPSC website in a couple of weeks for more details.
03/09/08 @ 8:05 PM: The TPSC
are still open and are in very good condition!
03/02/08 @ 7 PM: Nothing too
extensively new, was a little warm over this weekend but not a
lot of snow melting. This weeks forecast as of this posting is
Mon and Tues 24 for the highs and partly cloudy. Wed 26 with 40%
chance light snow, Thurs 18 with 30% light snow, Fri high in upper
teens, Sat high mid 20's.
02/28/08 @ 8:45 AM: Forecast
for tonite/tomorrow is Alberta Clipper coming with 2-4" of
new snow expected! All TPSC trails are groomed ans are in excellent
condition!
02/26/08 @ 7:22 PM: We didn't
get much snow that was forecasted, only a mere dusting. Temps
have been colder last night (around 0) and high today was about
16. It is supposed to stay cold for the rest of the week.
02/22/08 @ 2:12 PM: Weekend
forecast is to get a little warmer than what we've been having.
Early next week they are saying we could possibly get another
8" of snow followed by Arctic air! All TPSC trails are groomed
and are in excellent condition!! THINK SNOW!!
02/18/08 @ 12:23 PM: We received
approx. 7" of new snow on Sunday thru Sunday evening. Today's
forecast is an additional 1" It is snowing as of this posting.
02/15/08 @ 9:18 AM: We received
approx. 3" of fluffy new snow.
02/12/08 @ 9:37 PM: Forecast
for Wed. is light snow and Thursday 3-6" is expected. The
Tombstone-Pickerel Trails are in Excellent Condition!
02/08/08 @ 4:30 PM: We received
approx 5" of new snow on Tues 02/05. Groomers for the TPSC
Club have been out in force and trails are in excellent condition!

PM: CURRENTLY THEY ARE OPEN AND IN
VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT CONDITION.
(01/29/08 @10:38pm) WE HAD
A BIT OF A WARM UP ON MONDAY BUT, IT WAS CLOUDY SO THANKFULLY
WE DIDN'T HAVE A LOT OF MELTING . TODAY 1/29/08 IT STARTED TO
GET COLD AGAIN (33* BY 9 AM) AND BY NOON IT STARTED SNOWING! WE
RECEIVED ABOUT 6" OF SNOW AND IT IS LIGHTLY SNOWING YET AS
OF THIS POSTING!! I APOLOGIZE FOR NOT GETTING THIS POSTING ON
A COUPLE OF HOURS AGO BUT MOST OF THE AREA EXPERIENCED A POWER
OUTAGE.

On Pickerel Lake is Sat. 02/16/08 The fun Starts at Noon. All
Jump at 1 PM
Pickerel's Annual St. Patricks
Day Parade will be held on Sat. March 15, 2008. The "headquarters"
for this event is Country Inn Bar & Restaurant on Hwys 55
and DD. They will be serving corned beef and cabbage dinners or
corned beef sandwiches inside and under the tent outside will
feature brats and burgers. Call 715 484 3121 for more info. Show

Snowmobile Trail Pass
Wisconsin law requires those who use Wisconsin snowmobile trails
to display either Wisconsin registration or a snowmobile trail
pass. Funds from this program will be designated for use as trail
aids and related costs to enhance all Wisconsin snowmobile recreation.
The trail pass can be purchased online at our Online
Licensing Center @https://www4.wildlifelicense.com/wi/start.php,
over the counter at any license sales location, or by phone at
1-877-945-4236
The $18.00 non-resident snowmobile trail use pass is
valid from July 1st through June 30th.
A snowmobile trail pass is
required to operate a snowmobile not currently registered in Wisconsin
on a snowmobile trail.
The snowmobile must be currently registered with another jurisdiction.
The trail pass must be permanently affixed by its own adhesive
to the bottom center portion of the snowmobile windshield. If
there is no windshield, the sticker shall be displayed in a highly
visible location on the front of the cowling of the snowmobile.
Once affixed, the sticker may not be removed or transfered
to another snowmobile.
