Lake by the narrows at the N.E. side of the points. Please be
advised that ice conditions can change rapidly and beware of ice

03/23/09: The TPSC would like
to thank EVERYONE for a great 08-09 season!!
03/11/09: EFFECTIVE
8AM ON THURSDAY MARCH 12, 2009 ALL LANGLADE COUNTY SNOWMOBILE
TRAILS WILL BE CLOSED. FOREST COUNTY TRAILS ARE CLOSED FOR THE
SEASON.
03/10/09: Trail
Conditions: Poor
Current Snow Cover:
5-6 inches
We had some snow
here in the Pickerel-Pearson area this AM. This afternoon it rained
for a very short time.We are expecting snow tonight (1-3")
with cold temps returning to the area.High temp. on Wednesday
is 17*
03/09/09: Trail
Conditions: Poor
Snow Cover: 6 inches
Due to rapidly deteriorating
trail conditions, SECTION B, which is the area south of County
Highway C and west of County Highway S, will be closed effective
immediately Monday, March 09, 2009. Trails will remain closed
for the season.
The Langlade County
Snowmobile Ordinance prohibits snowmobilers and all-terrain vehicles
from operating on the above trails. Anyone operating on the above
trails will be prosecuted.
Also, SECTION A
(this is TPSC trials are located) may close with little notice
due to current weather conditions; please be sure to use caution
when riding as there may be a few areas on the trail with standing
water.
03/05/09: This very
well could be the last weekend to ride for the season. Our forecast
is to be warm (mid 30's to mid 40's) with chances of rain throughout
the weekend. A few corners have begun with brown spots but overall
the trails are in very good condition.
02/27/2009: We received
about 5" of new snow, during the snow it was 27* making it
a wetter, heavier snow, then the temp really dropped during the
night (-3*) and there is not a whole lot of moisture left in it
now. Trails may not be as well packed this weekend. TPSC groomers
are out as of this posting. Groomers may also be out on Saturday
night if conditions warrant.
02/26/09: All Tombstone-Pickerel
Trails are groomed and in very good to excellent condition. Please
be advised that trails may be or may become icy especially in
corners. We are expecting 6-9" of new snow beginning today
thru Friday morning.
02/18/09: We received
6" of new snow overnight, bringing our base to approximately
10"of snow, therefore ALL Langlade County Snowmobile Trails
will reopen tomorrow Thursday 02/19/09 at 8 AM. Please be advised
that trails may be icy especially in the corners. Please use caution
and ride safe!
02/15/09: Langlade
County Trials remain CLOSED. Forecast for this week has chances
of snow Wed, Thurs. & Sun. IF trails reopen, I will
post here as soon as possible.
02/11/09: With the
continuing warm temps again last night and today the LANGLADE
COUNTY SNOWMOBILE TRAILS ARE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
02/10/09: Today
as of this posting it is cloudy with temps in the 40's. Our groomers
were out this past Saturday night, Sunday and Monday morning to
get the trails smoothed out in the event we are lucky enough to
get the colder weather beginning on Wednesday night. We may also
be getting some snow, but at this point the forecasters are not
saying how much.
02/09/09: This past
weekend was warm, with Saturday being the warmest. This weeks
forecast is still above normal temps with Tuesdays highs being
in the 40's
02/05/09: All TPSC
trails are groomed and in very good condition. Today's noon weather
forecast beginning tomorrow is not good... Forecasting 30* + temps
for Friday thru next mid-week with rain possible.
02/02/09: All TPSC
trails are groomed and in very good condition. Forecast for this
week is colder temps than this past weekend with slight chances
of snow during the week.
01/26/09: All TPSC
trails are groomed and in very good condition
01/18/09: We received approximately 4"
of new snow yesterday/last night. All TPSC trails are in very
good condition.
12/30/08: We received approximately 3" of new snow today.
All TPSC Trails are groomed and in good to very good condition.
ATVs are not
allowed on snowmobile trails until 10 days after the snowmobile
trails have opened,
and when the temperature is less than 28° F.
Also, the Parrish Highlands
and Augustyn
Springs ATV trails are closed until May 1, 2009. Citations will
be issued to anyone riding on closed trails.

Snowmobile Trail Pass
Wisconsin law requires those who use Wisconsin snowmobile trails
to display either Wisconsin registration or a snowmobile trail
pass. Funds from this program will be designated for use as trail
aids and related costs to enhance all Wisconsin snowmobile recreation.
The trail pass can be purchased online at our Online
Licensing Center @https://www4.wildlifelicense.com/wi/start.php,
over the counter at any license sales location, or by phone at
1-877-945-4236
The $18.00 non-resident snowmobile trail use pass is
valid from July 1st through June 30th.
A snowmobile trail pass is
required to operate a snowmobile not currently registered in Wisconsin
on a snowmobile trail.
The snowmobile must be currently registered with another jurisdiction.
The trail pass must be permanently affixed by its own adhesive
to the bottom center portion of the snowmobile windshield. If
there is no windshield, the sticker shall be displayed in a highly
visible location on the front of the cowling of the snowmobile.
Once affixed, the sticker may not be removed or transfered
to another snowmobile.
